A vinyl re-issue of an oop cd, Aquarius Records described this album as “immensely appealing alien post rock jazz.” Each song is built from 4-8 second samples of analog instruments (guitars, drums, trumpet, violin, etc.) mashing together post-rock, idm, jazz, and shoegaze sounds.
Halo of Flies Records was started in winter of 2006/2007. After many years of watching record labels do their thing i thought i might as well throw my hat into the ring, primarily to release records from my band, Protestant. I maintain that diy punk/hc/etc is still the best thing going right now. Support the network of friends that keeps it going. I will keep going until I can’t anymore.
